The owner is leading splendid lifestyle in which their living spaces are always spacious. This was where the challenge lay, in giving owner the expanse and feel of a bungalow in an apartment type of structure with a bridge connecting the two built forms. To accomplish this, the home is designed in contemporary theme. Neutral colour palette with pockets of detailing brings in a sense of opulence to the residence.
Spreading across 28,000 sq ft this place consists of a living, dining, kitchen and bedrooms along with family entertainment spaces. Aspects of contemporary interiors are sleek and fresh with a focus on colour, space, and shape. Walls are painted in a basic neutral palette complemented by bold coloured accessories. The designer intended to create a blend of contemporary design, this further brought in an element of surprise to the design through several finished surfaces added with modern design aesthetics. The metal finished tables with stone tops are matched with contemporary sofas added to ambience. False ceilings have been created to bring in a play of concealed lighting to beautify the area. The decor is primarily in neutral colour with metallic accents dotted with the areas accentuated with wooden panels further making the crystal chandeliers stand out. Mirrors used in different places graces the overall area and makes it look grander.
The bedroom designs follow aesthetics of clean and straight lines in form of simplistic ceilings and wooden furniture. Sofas, chairs, and ottomans have exposed legs. Beds and chairs are more basic, bold and modernistic. Pillows are highlighted with colour and eloquent texture with varied shapes. Balanced flooring with patterned rugs seen throughout the space. Metal, stone, and clear glass has been major materials in designing bed backs of the bedrooms. Along with the multiple options, storages are provided for the inhabitants. A combination of direct and indirect lighting such as cove lights, pendant lights, cob dimmers etc., has been provided to create different moods in the spaces.
The bathroom walls are cladded in Italian marble with multiple combinations accommodating amenities and ample space for storage. The basin area, which is separated from the shower area using a glass panel, has been used to create drawers and shelves that have been cladded in wood.
Simplicity, sophistication, and sensitivity to tactile surfaces along with efficiently designed modern look helped us to achieve a contemporary look for the space.
